The story behind krz-icons
I'm Ashique Ali, a software developer who has spent years building web applications with React and Next.js. Like most developers, I reached for an icon library on nearly every project — and I kept running into the same friction: libraries that were too large to tree-shake properly, inconsistent stroke weights between icons, poor TypeScript support, or restrictive licenses.
So I built krz-icons — a single, cohesive set of over 20,000 free, open-source 24×24 stroke icons, crafted specifically for React and plain SVG. Every icon follows the same grid and stroke weight, the whole package is fully tree-shakeable, and every component is typed out of the box. It's MIT licensed, so you can use it in anything — side projects, startups, enterprise products.
Mission
My goal is to make high-quality icons available to every developer for free. Icons are one of those things that should just work — you search, you copy, you move on. krz-icons is built around that idea: a fast search, a one-click copy as SVG or JSX, and zero friction to drop an icon into any codebase.
Open source
krz-icons is completely open source. You can find the source code, report issues, and contribute on GitHub. The npm package is published as krz-icons and works with any React project — Vite, Next.js, Remix, Astro, or plain JavaScript.
